An application for an official Certificate of Good Conduct can be submitted in person in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver.
Please note that an appointment must be booked in advance to submit the application; without an appointment, we will not be able to accept it. You can book an appointment at the following link, or by clicking on the "Appointment booking" section on the homepage of our website: https://konzinfoidopont.mfa.gov.hu/home
What should you bring with you for the appointment?
· The application form completed in blue ink. (You may also fill out the form in person at the consulate.)
· A valid photo ID (passport, ID card, Canadian driver's license).
· The fee for obtaining the Certificate of Good Conduct. The payable amount can be found under the "Konzuli díjak” section.
Attention! If you also require a certified English translation of the Certificate of Good Conduct issued by the Hungarian authority, the fee for the translation must also be paid. You can find this amount under the "Konzuli díjak" section.
If you request the completed Certificate of Good Conduct to be mailed to you, please enclose a prepaid postal envelope, a "Registered Mail," with your application. Please ensure that the envelope has the "Signature on delivery" sticker on it, and pay extra attention to writing your own address accurately on the envelope.
The expected processing time is 2–3 weeks.
Procedure for those living outside the province of Ontario:
