NOW OFFERING LIMITED CONSULAR SERVICES TO HUNGARIAN CITIZENS

The Hungarian Consulate General in Toronto and the Hungarian Vice Consulate in Vancouver are resume offering limited services to Hungarian citizens in Canada from May 20 strictly enforcing Health Canada as well as provincial health and safety guidelines.

 

Following the Victoria Day Weekend please email us at to request an emergency service appointment if you need assistance in any of the following:

Application for a new passport

- if old passport has expired within the last 3 months, or

- if existing passport will expire within the next month, or

- applying for a passport for a minor, or

- in need of a new passport in an emergency.

Applying for a Hungarian Birth Certificate and first Hungarian passport for a baby born to Hungarian citizens in Canada.

Ügyfélkapu (Client Gate) registration.

Registration as a Hungarian Citizen living abroad.

 Consular certificate for localization of Hungarian driving license.

For all other requests please contact us by email and we will do our best to facilitate your request via post.

Attention!

Please note we will not be providing routine citizenship services to Hungarian citizens. The consulates and the buildings housing them are not open to the public/visitors. You need an emergency service appointment to be admitted. If you have an appointment, please come alone, only one person will be admitted at a time. Please wear a face mask and practice social distancing during your entire visit. We cannot admit anyone not wearing a mask and cannot provide you with a mask unfortunately. Please use the hand sanitizer provided upon entering the consular offices and please postpone your appointment if you are not feeling well or have travelled abroad in the last 14 days.

 

Please always wait for confirmation of your emergency appointment date and time by email from our consular staff. We cannot admit anyone who does not have a confirmed appointment
