Repatriation Mission

On April 2nd, Hungarian citizens stranded in North America have finally gotten home safely and soundly, with the repatriation flight provided by the Government of Hungary. During their stop in Toronto, the Hungarian Consulate General, and Toronto-based Hungarian entrepreneurs have provided the passengers with 150 food packages.

In the framework of our allied collaboration, the Hungarian Government’s repatriation flight also brought 9 Canadian citizen home from Budapest to Toronto.

We are living in unprecedented times, and these times require exceptional deeds and exceptional people.

During this Year of National Unity, collaboration is of utmost importance, which has been shown in Toronto. Hungarians in Toronto have shown exemplary solidarity, by not only preparing and offering food packages for the passengers on the repatriation flight, but also providing free accommodation to those who arrived in Toronto from other parts in Western Canada days before the flight.

We were also able to send 15 thousand facemasks to as generous donation of Hungarian Torontonians.

Respect and our appreciation to all the supporters!
