The monument commemorating the 1956 Freedom Fight of Hungary has been renewed.

The Consulate General in Toronto has been in talks with the City of Toronto’s representatives and Parks Toronto regarding the renewal of the monument. As per the Consulate’s request, the City has confirmed their dedication and support to restore the water fountain.

With these new addition, the improved monument will keep the memory of our heroes of 1956 alive for even more time to come.

Thank you to the City of Toronto, to City Councillor Gord Perks, and the Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation for the professional and financial support!
